Pro Bono Economics is funded by a number of grant-making organisations including The City Bridge Trust, the Economic and Social Research Council, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the Garfield Weston Foundation and the Monument Trust.
Pro Bono Economics was registered in 2009, but the idea existed for some time before the charity was established, when friends and fellow economists Martin Brookes and Andy Haldane identified an opportunity for economists to help charities.
Pro Bono Economics matches volunteer economists with charities wishing to address questions around measurement, results and impact.
Our aims are:
We are fortunate to have a hard-working board and a great group of patrons who support the work of the busy executive.
