Karl Wilding is a UK-based analyst and advisor working with charities, government and the media. A former CEO and director of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, he now works on public policy and strategy, helping organisations to adapt. He has worked closely with the academic community, serving as a REF panel member and co-investigator on numerous projects. Karl has taught on the City University Charity MSc, where he also helped establish the ESRC Centre for Giving and Philanthropy, and on the philanthropy MA at Kent University. An associate of several organisations, including MyCake, Local Trust and Pro Bono Economics, Karl is also a trustee of Communities 1st and a director at Creating the Future, a US-based nonprofit.
