Robert Peston is a British journalist, and founder of the education charity Speakers for Schools (speakers4schools.org). He is ITV's Political Editor and host of the weekly political discussion show Peston on Sunday. From 1991 to 2000, he worked for the Financial Times, as Political Editor, Financial Editor, Banking Editor and head of an investigations unit. Between 2006 and 2016, he was at the BBC, first as its Business Editor and then as Economics Editor. Peston is the author of three books, including "How do we fix this mess?" and "Who runs Britain?"
