Heart of the City works to support responsible businesses across the City of London as they seek to make a positive contribution to society. The charity provides peer-to-peer business platforms, networks, and tailored advice services to share Corporate Social Responsibility knowledge with their 700-plus organisations.
Heart of the City celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, and has marked this with research looking at the factors that drive small businesses to engage in social and environmental issues, and the impact of Heart of the City has on its members. This research was launched at the Bank of England on 2nd July.
In parallel, Heart of the City want to improve the way in which they gather data from their members to allow for future cost-benefit analysis of its services. A team of PBE economists volunteers worked with the charity and produced guidance for Heart of the City on the improvements that might be made.
