While the Covid-19 pandemic has placed charities and civil society organisations under considerable pressure in recent months, it has also prompted a very welcome strengthening of the UK’s social capital. Communities have come together, and individuals have stepped forward in record numbers to help those around them.

This year, Danny Kruger MP was asked by the Prime Minister to recommend policy proposals to sustain the upsurge in voluntarism and community spirit seen during the crisis. He hopes that the challenges presented by the Covid 19 recovery will provide new opportunities to place civil society at the heart of the government’s agenda to level up the communities of the UK.

In this webinar, Danny will reflect on his proposals for such an outcome. He will be joining PBE Chair and ex-Cabinet Secretary Lord O'Donnell in a conversation to discuss his findings and recommendations – and to field questions from the audience.
