Martin Brookes, Chair and co-founder of Pro Bono Economics, has just been announced as the new Chief Executive of the charity Tomorrow's People, and will step into the role on 9th March 2015.

Tomorrow’s People is an employment charity that works across the country to help people furthest from the labour market gain employment and stay employed. A previous PBE report by economist volunteers from FTI Consulting looked at the impact of Tomorrow's People's interventions.

Outgoing Chief Executive Debbie Scott will take up a new outward-facing role working with funders, patrons and ambassadors.

On his appointment, Martin Brookes says:

“I am delighted to be joining Tomorrow’s People as Chief Executive. The organisation has established a fantastic track record of helping clients and developing new thinking under Debbie Scott’s leadership. She will be a hard act to follow, but we have a huge opportunity to build on the organisation’s success and ensure we keep pace with the changing needs of our clients.”

Outgoing Chief Executive Debbie Scott says:

"I've worked for Tomorrow's People since 1984, so after 30 years, I feel that now is the right time for me, and the charity, for me to move into a new role. Martin has been a friend of Tomorrow's People for many years and is passionate about the work we do for our clients. He will be a fantastic successor and I look forward to supporting him in my new role."
